Department of Malaysian Studies as a role of Malaysia Education Centre in overseas intend to promote Malaysian development model to Egypt, Arab world and Arab Africa Region.

There are 2 main course, Introduction to Introduction to Social, Economics and Political Studies (ISEPS) and Introduction to Malaysian Studies (IMS). This course is conducted for 45 hours on 3 weeks, held on in Faculty of Archaeology building, Cairo University.

جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا توقع اتفاقية تعاون أكاديمي مع جامعة الملايا الماليزية

التقى الأستاذ الدكتور / طارق سنان أبو لحوم رئيس مجلس الإدارة بمكتبة يوم السبت
الموافق 26/12/2009م بالبروفيسور غيث جاس مون رئيس جامعة الملايا الماليزية والوفد
المرافق له ،تم خلال اللقاء بحث أوجه التعاون بين جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا
و جامعة الملايا UM .

وخلال اللقاء رحب رئيس مجلس الإدارة بوفد الجامعة الماليزية متمنياً لهم طيب الإقامة لهم
في بلدهم الثاني اليمن ، كما قدم شرحاً مفصلاً عن الجامعة ونشأتها وبرامجها المتخصصة ،
ومدى اهتمام الجامعة بالمخرجات المتميزة وفق معايير الجودة التعليمية ، كما ثمن جهود
الجامعات الماليزية في دعم مسيرة التعليم في جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا.

من جانبه أعطى البروفيسور غيث جاس مون رئيس جامعة الملايا لمحة مختصرة عن
الجامعة وإمكانياتها وتخصصاتها المختلفة ، وأعرب عن استعداده لتقديم الدعم للجامعة ،
كما أعلن عن إعطاء الجامعة ست منح مجانية

كما تم خلال اللقاء توقيع اتفاقية تعاون أكاديمي والتي تتضمن لتعاون المشترك
في البحث العلمي والبرامج الأكاديمية ، تبادل الزيارات بين قيادتي الجامعتين
لما من شأنه تطوير أوجه التعاون بين الجامعتين.

وقع الاتفاقية من جانب جامعة الملايا الماليزية UM البروفيسور غيث جاس مون
رئيس جامعة الملايا ، ومن جانب جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا وقعها
الدكتور / حميد محمد عقلان رئيس الجامعة .

حضر اللقاء ومراسيم التوقيع كل من الأستاذ الدكتور/ داود عبد الملك الحدابي
نائب رئيس مجلس الإدارة ، والأستاذ الدكتور/ عبد العزيز الكباب رئيس مجلس الأمناء ،
والدكتور/ عبد الوهاب المعمري مساعد رئيس الجامعة وعمداء الكليات.

Collaboration Discussion Between University of Sharjah and University of Malaya

Prof. Eng. Samy A. Mahmoud, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, received Prof. Ghauth Jasmon, Vice Chancellor of the University of Malaya, Malaysia and the delegation including Prof. Sofian Bin Azirun, Dean of Faculty of Science and Dr. Hasan Basri, Director of Malaysian Studies Department.

During this meeting, Prof. Samy highlighted the establishment of the University of Sharjah, its colleges and scientific centers. He talked about the programs and degrees including diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.

The two parties discussed the academic collaboration and scientific research between them particularly in different fields of medicine, renewable energy and engineering.

The delegation visited the complex of Medical and Health Sciences Colleges and met Prof. Mohammed Husam Al Din Hamdi, Vice Chancellor for Medical Colleges and Dean of College of Medicine who briefed them about the vision, mission in addition to their academic collaborations and agreements with a number of well-known international universities and scientific centers.

Scholarships for postgraduate students

Picture 013Department of Malaysian Studies is pleased to announce the scholarships for postgraduate students;

First: The grant for two month, including return air ticket to Malaysia and accommodation with the following conditions:
1. Registered as a research student at any universities or institutes in Egypt.
2. The topic of the research is related to Malaysian context.
3. The candidate is not in the final year of study when applying for the grant.
