Welcome to the Department of Malaysian Studies
Department of Malaysian Studies as a role of Malaysia Education Centre in overseas intend to promote Malaysian development model to Egypt, Arab world and Arab Africa Region. The main activities handled by department is organize an academic course, conference, public lectures, publication, sponsoring research, study tour and others.
Academic Course
There are 2 main course, Introduction to Introduction to Social, Economics and Political Studies (ISEPS) and Introduction to Malaysian Studies (IMS). This course is conducted for 45 hours on 3 weeks, held on in Faculty of Archaeology building .
Publications
The Department was issued a series of books as reference for post-graduate student and researcher. The publication are completly display in this site. Click for more details
Past Activities
Since this department is established, some various academic range of activities was being conducted, various research were made and almost 100 rounds course were implemented.
Scholarships for postgraduate students
Department of Malaysian Studies is pleased to announce the scholarships for postgraduate students;
First: The grant for two month, including return air ticket to Malaysia and accommodation with the following conditions:
1. Registered as a research student at any universities or institutes in Egypt.
2. The topic of the research is related to Malaysian context.
3. The candidate is not in the final year of study when applying for the grant.

Entrepreneurial Studies For Malaysian Students In Egypt
CAIRO, Nov 30 (Bernama) — Malaysian students in Egypt will have the opportunity to take up part-time studies for a diploma in entrepreneurship soon, which programme is aimed at producing credible entrepreneurs.
Malaysian Ambassador to Egypt, Datuk Zainal Abidin Ab Kadir, said the Malaysian Embassy, with the cooperation of government agencies in Egypt and higher institutions of learning in Malaysia, was preparing the programme to be offered to Malaysian students taking up religious and medical studies in Egypt.
